ohh I would appreciate this yes! I still need to get through the profaned capital proper, but I feel like I can sense a bit of that rewrite vibe here. like I kinda get what they're putting down and it makes sense thematically but it's also kinda sudden and unexplained (even by Souls standards)?

Anyway now I got a buncha damn keys and I need to wander back through that dungeon which I hate to get people out. And items out. If there are any items. I'd love some items (I keep getting gems which I do not use and sorcery/miracle scrolls/books which I will not use)

needless to say, AHHH!!! I'm really glad I got Carthus Flame Arc because it's making handling the occasional big enemies a little easier. ALSO this game LOVES its fall jokes, doesn't it. Its fall and jumpscare jokes with items and titanite bugs. I mean I admit they're funny!

I like how they make this area with the sewerpedes and you're like oh Jesus! Sewerpedes! Then they introduce you to I wanna say whelps? in Irithyll Dungeon and its like OOOH boy! You think it can't get any worse! And then they give you big hand head baby thing.

situation has not improved but I now know not to use a hash table for this purpose, no matter how sad it makes me, because array comparability is. well. doesn't work as expected. so I need to make my own darn class! not too hard though...

I was also told that I was not overleveled at 48 after Sulyvahn and if anything I might be *underleveled* because my health is not super big rn. Crazy! I always just assume i'm overleveled and beating bosses semi-fast because of that, not like, skill. I do think my swords pretty busted though

I also am level 52, and you might think, woah, four more levels, that's crazy! well you see. I used all my soul crunchies to get 2 levels in attunement and 2 in faith so I could get and use Carthus Flame Arc. I am not any generally stronger than before but I have a fire sword now!!!!!!

boy am I glad I had a friend for guidance through this second half of the Irithyll Dungeon! actually a really tiny area, all things considered. I am now into the Profaned Capital though! yippee!

Also I like when NPCs say "ohh your solemn duty as the guy who does the thing" like Yes haha so much (meanwhile I scrabble around grabbing items and killing random people and screaming and being rather adamant about killing gods whoever they are because they were some real LOSERS last time!)

like what did these people do to get put here, if ANYTHING— moreover, what the hell happened to some of these people, or creatures??? the malformed people have wing buds. Sulyvahn did sprout wings. it is interesting though, this place is like, really genuinely freaky on several levels. the man-cages are back, accompanying "jailers" who are locking away- various hollows? those malformed weirdos???

I uh. I feel bad for these guys in the Irithyll Dungeon. I feel like mercy-killing them is the best thing to do. They... they don't seem to be doing too good. This sure is the horror zone though wowie!
