I just miss the feeling of Animal Crossing being a world you were just a small part of.
ACNH makes you feel like the god-king of your own island, where villagers have been lobotomized so they don't interrupt your delicate island fantasy paradise.
The most interesting part of GC animal crossing was that animals would talk about stuff that wasn't in the game, and implied a world outside the town.
Talking about having partners, or nieces/nephews. They had gameboys... THEY WOULD START RUMORS.
There's none of that in New Horizons.
New animal crossing update seems pretty cool, but it still doesn't address my problems with the game.
Oh well, ACNH is a game about customization, not a life sim, so whatever. It'll still be fun.
I just hope we get more of a return to form for the next entry. Let shit happen without me.
Not to mention that voice acting and lip syncing would just add to the cost/development time of the game, and the team is clearly already struggling to optimize their games without it. It's just not necessary.
