I don't need to win tournaments. My trophies are the angry DMs I ignore until a month later and read them all at once.

I think my big one was Y2K; I worked for YEARS as part of a team making sure medical systems and hospitals didn't go pining for the fjords.

And then hearing it described as a 'hoax' by smarmy Zoomers is just... ugh.

One of the strangest aspects of aging that they don't warn you about is watching as history gets rewritten right in front of your face and people 20 years younger than you confidently tell you about something you lived through and get it completely wrong.

I think its up to the game to make you WANT to get 100%. If it doesn't... that's on the devs not the player. Xenoblade series and Zelda BoTW do great jobs of this.
