“Kitty-corner.” Catty-corner comes from the French “quatre.” It has nothing to do with cats.

I mean, “champ” means the same thing as “chomp.” That definition of champ is essentially useless. It’s like people realizing “antivenin” is just French for “antivenom.” So if you’re speaking English, just say antivenom.

Darn it. “Headlinese.”

They’ve always written that way. It’s called “headlines.”

My marriage works because when my wife and I have a disagreement we engage in direct communication by writing diss tracks about the other.

Not only is this childish and cruel, their corrections don’t even make grammatical sense.

I don’t generally like posting political things, but this is poetry.

From my perspective here in the US, it seems they very much are.

He suggested that Hong Kong protesters be shot and that Ukraine was “staging atrocities.” I agree.
