can always find you

Black and white photograph of summer monsoon clouds gathering over the desert mountains of Utah.
I have always loved the desert.
One sits down on a desert sand dune, sees nothing, hears nothing.
Yet through the silence something throbs, and gleams.

The Little Prince

Sun faded, slowly, heat waned, slowly, I, dreamed, slowly. An elderly man walked down steps carefully, the Mother spoke, carefully and my favourite tree, strong and wise, held my aura, carefully. Grace often nestles between dusk and acceptance.

You know
I can strip you
naked

She moves according to the unseen mathematics of energy…

Most urgency is
just panic in a hurry.
Let it rest for five minutes.
See if it survives.

WORLD’S BLISS The men & women sang & played they sleep by singing, what shall I say of the most poignant on earth the most glamorous loneliest sought after people those poets wholly beautiful desolate aureate, death is a powerful instinctive emotion— but who would be released from a silver skeleton? gems & drinking cups—This skull is Helen—who would not be released from the Book of Knowledge? Why should a maiden lie on a moor for seven nights & a day? And he is a maiden, he is & she on the grass the flower the spray where they lie eating primroses grown crazy with sorrow & all the beauties of old—oh each poet’s a beautiful human girl who must die.

You would look
divine
in my darkness

It's true once, a time ago
You bled out my essence
In setting sun's embrace
A razor sharpened grin
As small patterns formed
Omens of my own doom
The message rang clear:
'Seek the path of entrails
For death becomes you'
A visceral awakening to
The black & red & white
That would consume me

attic sketches appear
unclaimed reels linger
as grey tinged captions
claim the passage
confounded and spent
my impulses proceed
through the fire and passion
stoking the burnt offerings
left scratching their way
through the ash and lust
where noted desires played

The thought
of you
being you
is poetry

I see your name
and say it softly
aloud
I see your name
and cannot help
but smile
hesitant spring
bringing just a bit of yellow
to everything

I see you
and I want you

yet the rain keeps falling down,
blithe in its descent
