I bought one leather jacket and one pair of boots for 70 euros each this year, which was very expensive, but at least they were super good quality stuff, never worn before and I'll never find anything brand new like that in a modern store.

I have the exact same issue! All the non curated thrift shops are 95% fast fashion or worn out, unusable clothes and all the curated secondhand "boutiques" think their clothes are worth their weight in gold.

Oh you're so lucky! There are no such things in my area (country even?). Mine is a mixed gender barbershop/hairdressers, and I just get the same dude to cut my hair every single time. No gender neutral pricing either. I pay the mens' price bc I get a mens' cut, which serves me bc it's cheaper :p

After a lot of trial and error, a lesbian acquitance of mine directed me to a barbershop that was willing to give me the men's cut I wanted. The amount of hairdressers that WILL feminize your hair against your will is insane.

What that outline looks like may vary by writer, but should show the mods that you have a clear plan for your work. Fic summaries are also due, to be used for prompt selection by artists. Artist choice period: April 7 - April 13 Match-ups announced: April 14 Second check-in: April 20 Mods will privately check in to answer any questions or concerns, to make sure that partner contact has been established, and that writers have shared materials with their artist so that they may start working on their pieces. Third Check-in: June 1 Writers must have at least 25% of their fic finished. Artists must have at least one sketch finished. Fourth check-in: July 20 Writers must have at least half of their fic finished. Artists must have at least one artwork lined/coloured. Fifth check-in: September 7 Writers must have at least 75% of their fic finished. Artists must have one artwork finished, and at least a sketch for the 2nd. This is the last opportunity to drop from the event without penalty. Finished works due: October 19 Pinch hit period: October 20 - November 4 Pinch hitters will have ~two weeks to complete their work. If participants wish to add a few finishing touches/edits to their works, they may use this time to do so. Mods will preview fic and art on socials. Hi all! Here's the timeline for the 2025 event, which will ask writers to create a fic with a minimum word count of 20k, and artists for 2 accompanying artworks. An updated rules and FAQ will follow later this week and outline the scope of the event in more detail.
