Every whistleblower I've ever spoken to believed (correctly) they were doing their public duty, bc others failed.
None wanted to become a "whistleblower".
Yet they're punished by systems designed to destroy them.
Labor promised to protect them but have only tormented them with inaction & gaslighting

I can't say I've been in barber shops I've loved the smell in, but I'll take any of them over the Phillip Island penguins' smell. The penguins are cuter, though.

Maybe it wasn't in the US media, but it was all over my media for months and giving me nightmares. But it's been sharing the stage with some of the world's other trouble spots more recently, like Iran and the US.

That's exactly what I think the government should've done, here in Australia, instead of the blanket social media ban for under-16s. I'm not convinced social media does more harm than cutting kids off from their support groups.

I just muddled through the face-recognition thing. I don't think it liked that my ears don't line up, but I think it eventually realised I really am a middle-aged human.

I also agree with this take: his polls are as low as can ever really be expected. No need to convince his remaining supporters; they're a waste of time, who don't care about the country's wellbeing, nor even their own. It's like supporting a sportsball team to them.

I'd still prefer those goons not be bullshat into thinking they have blanket immunity. While I certainly hope for the eventual satisfaction of seeing Jonathan Ross and his cowardly accomplices behind bars, I'd rather ICE thugs on the streets today think twice before taking more violent power trips.

A deep freeze with baskets of various ice creams on sticks, including Golden Gaytimea and Bubble O'Bills, at a service station in Lidcombe, New South Wales.

And here's photo evidence. I've honestly always found it strange that the US, which does things like putting meat sausages in pizza crust, doesn't have anything like a Bubble O'Bill.

At the risk of reviving a stupid 26-year-old argument: We're now a quarter of the way through the 21st century. As much as some things have improved over the previous century, I can only hope the improvements accelerate, and that this decade's regressions sharply reverse before it ends.

It's been one of my favourite ice creams since I was a kid in the 1970s.
