We just love non-human wierd things. Personally, it was your transformers art. FA has it's own dedicated transformers category, there's a bit of an overlap in the fandom. Half my friends either like transformers or bionicle, or both!

Got a lil bit burnt out on my other stuff, so I continued on my Megatron model. Ever since I saw Marvel Megatron, the black helmet is mandatory. Mix of inspiration: G1, IDW, Marvel, using the MP-36 toy as a reference. Gun alt-mode, because he's the ultimate power bottom. #maccadam #3D #transformers

I've tried to keep all the eyes and ears across the different heads roughly level with each other, to make fitting bones and accessories across species easier, and to maintain head scale with the body. It is difficult to resize sculpted models.

Going through and refining my earlier head sculpts, starting with the jaguar. I'll do a rough retopo of all of them first once refined, to figure out how many vertices the neck hole of the body should be. I'll do the wolf next. Very boopable.

Maybe you want to look into bendybones? I know you can bake them down onto a regular bone chain for export, and it will be much easier to manage than a series of regular bones. I find this video is a good explanation:

I've split my furry character mesh into multiple, modular pieces that can be mixed at runtime for character creation. This is the topology i'm using for mammals and reptiles. Tails are detatched to swap between style and species.

#Furry #3D #Art speed sculpts, over about 5 hours. From left to right, then top to bottom: Rat, Bunny, Deer, Weasel, Wolf, Jaguar, Skink, Viper, Horse, Cow, Goat, and a pig.
Once I got the first done, it was surprisingly easy to use it as a base for the rest.
