Saw the amazing #LeeMiller exhibition at the @tate.bsky.social Britain yesterday!! Genuinely fantastic. Her photos of women working during the Blitz and her photos of war torn Europe (including concentration camps!)…are extraordinary and shocking - but a must see!

@jonathanfoyle.bsky.social In case you'd not seen this recent central Shrewsbury tragedy. The Grade II* building was restored, & her home for 40 years, by the lady who sadly died in the fire. Immediate all weather protection is required to prevent total loss of the property.

Treasures found on HS2 route stored in secret warehouse Archaeological finds from the planned HS2 train line have been shown exclusively to the BBC.

'The 450,000 objects, which are being held in a secret warehouse, include a possible Roman gladiator's tag, a hand axe that may be more than 40,000 years old and 19th Century gold dentures.'

Moulton Hall near Richmond was rebuilt on the site of a previous building in the mid 17th century for the Smithson family. Perhaps it's most interesting owner though was Sir Ralph Millbanke who sold it when his daughter made a disastrous marriage to Lord Byron.
