I was stood in Virgin Records in Nottingham during the summer of 1978 & this was playing in the shop , I enquired who it was & the guy behind the counter said ‘It’s Wire , they’re the future , they’re brilliant’ He wasn’t wrong was he 😉
Can only put it down to bad marketing , The Undertones , Stiff Little Fingers & Co stole their thunder & The Moondogs even had their own TV show 🤷♂️ All great bands in their own way but for me this wins hands down 😀
