We bought a secondhand electric guitar/amp for our youngest son yesterday and buying Beartooth/Bad Omens concert tickets for our oldest son today. There, Christmas is done: the rest of 2025 is boycott season. 🎁

I’m resting my brain for the rest of today and then I’ll probably start some classic Stephen King. Either the Shining or Salem’s Lot? I have some NK Jemison books, Stephen Graham Jones, and Stormlight Archive also on my physical TBR.

Just did the math: I’m at 72% through the EoS/ToD tandem read. This time next week, I will be starting the final book in the Throne of Glass series. After that, I don’t know what I will do with myself! The plan was to start the Stormlight Archive, but I may need an easy snack or two first. #booksky

I started this account to skeet about books I’m reading and sometimes music I’m listening to and a little bit of lifestyle documentary on the side, but I’ve been absolutely shit at keeping up with any of it in recent months. Not saying I’ll be better in the months ahead: just an observation. 🧐 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sure, it’s completely normal thinking more about what to add to the tattoo I just got, rather than something completely new: eventually turning it into a bigger piece. My goal was only to get something small before deciding to do a bigger tattoo on my arm, now all I can think about is my leg!

One more… today, he’s helping me keep my leg elevated. He took a while to warm up, but a total snuggle bug now. 💕

Once he let me pick him up, I brought him inside the house for a few minutes at a time to explore, but took him back outside. I didn’t keep him inside overnight right away. We also had to navigate training our dogs not to treat him like prey. That was a challenge, but we are all friends now!

When he started approaching for treats, I stayed as still as I possibly could while he took them to prove to him that I was safe. I waited for a couple of days while he got comfortable with being close to me before I try to touch him, and then waited another day or so before trying to pick him up.

I was so afraid of predators as well! We have a lot of coyotes around. We went out several times a day with cat treats and wet food. I left food and water for him. I started by sitting and watching him about 15 or 20 feet away and then gradually moved closer. 🧵
