I feel so conflicted about WaPo. I’ve read the paper since I was able to read. I grew up near DC , and it was part of the fabric of my family. But I’m so so upset about the changes in the paper. AND I still want to support the journalists.

My father’s childhood home in Altadena was destroyed in the fire. He had not lived there since 1958, and I had never visited. Yet I am still so sad. I feel like a small part of my family’s identity has disappeared. It’s an extraordinary feeling, one I did not expect.
