This painting is filled with large, bright red and pink poppies swaying closely together. The petals are bold and curving, painted with strong lines and deep shadows that make them look lively and full. Tall green stems and leaves weave upward through the scene. The central goldfish is side on and looking rather majestic with its face to the right. A bright orange in colour across most of its body and fins the light is shining off some of the scales giving a gold like shine. Its tail fins are forked in shape and become semi transparent white at the tip. The second goldfish is at the bottom right of the image and looking directly out at the viewer, it is similarly a bright orange but you can see a kind of creamy underbelly. Its tail is swished off to the right of it. There are five grass like strands of aquatic plants around them in a deep rich green and the rest of the background is a light blue watercolour effect with light channels in it to seem like the light shining on water.

As described this is a my collaged linocut pollinator garden artwork featuring a log, wildflowers and pollinators including: Canada goldenrod, purple coneflower, wild geraniums, wild columbine, common milkweed, black eyed susans, monarch butterflies, red-spotted purple butterfly, white underwing moth, Eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly, bumblebee, sweat bee, resin bee, large milkweed bug and milkweed leaf beetle.
