Can I ask how much weight the size carries in the overall grade? Because I feel like, unless you're talking about OL, that size doesn't have much impact on any of the other positions and therefore shouldn't really be disqualifying. Just curious how it works for you guys.

Random fun fact only I care about: We're only supposed to use that button if there's a runner on base. Because it helps track the catcher's blocking ability to stop a ball in the dirt and not have the runner advance. If there's nobody on base, it doesn't matter, so we're not supposed to select it!

Isn't it reasonable to fear that is even worse? I'd almost rather have ghouls with a little bit of common sense of the rules than just have entirely incompetent people who will break laws and never be held responsible for anything. They feel more dangerous.

I checked - nothing was sent out NCAA-wide. I suppose it's possible there could have been a MAC-level thing done? But that wouldn't explain the change in numbers across NCAA as a whole. I'm not sure what the deal might be. But I'm glad to see things might be getting more accurate.

I'll check with my guy at the NCAA to see. I don't work at the school I do the scoring for, I just show up on Saturdays for the game as a contract worker, so I don't get the NCAA bulletins about those kinds of changes, but I'll find out if there was something sent out to SID's before the season.

I can speak a little to this. I'm an official scorer for an NCAA football program. It all depends on statistician philosophy. My system is that virtually every tackle ends up being assisted unless it is clearly a 1v1, usually a WR/CB most times. 95% of tackles should have an assist on them, IMO.
