So far in 2025, over 90% of all measles cases were in people who weren't vaccinated. But RFK Jr. keeps still refuses to walk back his anti-vax beliefs and strongly recommend the measles vaccine. We got a live look into his brain and decision making process.

In a first, the Senate confirms a new CDC director Susan Monarez is the first director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to require Senate confirmation. She's also the first director without a medical degree in more than 70 years.

Goodness, we *really* got used to not having a director. Because, uh, we got one today?

2/2 Reminder, it is the end of July and this administration started in January. After 6 months, CDC finally has a Director, Susan Monarez, Ph.D. We are on the fence about how this will turn out. We do know that it could be worse.

Susan Monarez confirmed as Trump's CDC director Susan Monarez is becoming the next director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Senate confirmed her on Tuesday in a 51-47 vote.

🗞️UPDATE: We have a CDC Director, Dr Monarez, Ph.D.
Not sure how we feel about it. We were NOT impressed or inspired by her nomination hearing.

Will she stand up to RFK Jr’s dismantling of public health? We fear she might be compliant & erode decades of public health progress.
