Yes, you could say this is just an announcement of upcoming announcements. In reality, we're just so excited about #pyconau that we wanted to share what we're cooking up for the year ahead.

From music apps to cars. From climate change to education. Our systems are not serving us well, and it's time to push back.

What a thought provoking example of the state of individual vs corporate contributions to open source in the current βstate of thingsβ
Individuals are funding significantly more than the companies that profit from FOSS are. π€

Safe travels!

08.11.2025 01:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Generally youβd require them submit a risk/mitigation plan. In AU itβs an βenvironmental impact statementβ of sorts. Theyβre responsible for mitigation + remediation costsβ¦ but you can approach it all very positively. Sounds like a great way to piggy back on their marketing to promote Protect Earth

06.11.2025 07:06 β π 7 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0It's *REALLY IMPORTANT* that you show this to your comms teams, marketing teams and leadership teams, because many of them are still using Twitter.
The only way to stop it progressing further (and with that stupid pet Nazi robot) is to ditch it. Starve it of oxygen.
People / orgs need to leave it.

It's the first in what I hope will be a series of more informal, long form essays sharing how we think about certain problems, tasks and challenges.
