Been out less than a week but quickly becoming my favorite of the year. A reflection on life after his cancer treatment from the perspective of objects one might find at an estate sale after a death. Recorded with only instruments and objects already present in the studio.

We'll be at the #NoKingsOct18 protests tomorrow. As we've been for each protest for years.
But, friends, you don't counter fascism after brunch and mimosas every twelfth Saturday.
It takes daily protests for months. Disruption. Unpredictability. Chaos.
If you have a permit, you're not protesting.
I mean fuck John Bolton, but the whole charging him for having classified documents is quite rich coming from this admin.

You know a lot of attention has been put on #RFKJr,
#RussellVought & the #GOP Congress on the mess we’re facing but it’s time for #JohnRoberts and his court to take equal blame for the lawless destruction of public health. They are political actors here, no longer can hide behind their robes.
Body-camera video appears to contradict the government’s claim that Marimar Martinez, 30, drove toward officers before one of them opened fire at her late Saturday morning in Brighton Park, her attorney claimed.

How should psychologists exercise these responsibilities? We believe restorative or repar- ative justice provides a useful model (van Wormer, 2013; Wenzel, Okimoto et al., 2008). Unlike retributive justice (used by almost all criminal justice systems today), the aim of restor- ative justice is to repair the damaged relationships between victims and perpetrators of injus- tice. Typically, restorative justice requires perpetrators to not only acknowledge their actions and the harms that these actions had on victims, but also to work with victims to identify concrete actions that perpetrators can take to redress or mitigate these harms. From this per- spective, explicit apologies for contributions to scientific racism are essential as a first step (American Psychological Association, 2021; Fuentes et al., 2019; Jackson, Turner et al., 2023), but not fully sufficient on their own.
Second, psychology and behavior genetics have been slower than other human sciences to address their role in scientific racism. Scientists, like everyone else, have a moral obligation to prevent their actions from causing harm. These fields might adopt a restorative justice approach. 13/13

Many social scientists seem to think so, and are already using "silicon samples" in research.
One problem: depending on the analytic decisions made, you can basically get these samples to show any effect you want.
