I feel this so strongly. Covid was a test of our moral integrity & decency -- *not just elites, but all of us* -- and we failed.

I genuinely think one reason Covid has been memory-holed so hard, & so crusted w/ myths & conspiracy theories, is that on some level we know this & are ashamed.

I'm very grateful to be able to go to a dentist who is always wearing a respirator and where the CO2 readings on my CO2 sensor are ~800ppm. If nothing else, it demonstrates that they are very well informed, and I can trust them to poke around in my mouth with sharp objects.

When this generation of kids grows up, they will never forgive us for doing so little to protect them from the known permanent effects of this virus.

No one wanted to keep wearing an N95/KN95 or bother with air filtration, and all these kids will know we chose convenience over their safety.

I can't stop thinking about this. A conservative average of 1 infection ~2 years for a school going child is ~8 infections by the time they're 18. I'm in Ireland and most children haven't even had 1 course of covid vaccine, nevermind boosters. Who will be well enough to provide healthcare by then? 🫤

And yet our governments do nothing to prevent children catching COVID over and over and they have no idea how serious they long term outcomes might be? We are in an experiment of mass infection.
