And what happened to Berthier? He met a mysterious end, falling or jumping out of a window just before Waterloo. Coincidence or bunny revenge? You decide.

Humiliation doesn't even begin to cover it. Napoleon, who had conquered empires, was now the laughingstock of the animal kingdom. His Chief of Staff, Berthier, had made a grave mistake by choosing domesticated over wild rabbits.

In a scene more fitting for a horror movie than history, Napoleon flees to his carriage. But the rabbits? They stormed his sanctuary, leaping inside, turning his escape into a nightmare. The Emperor, flinging rabbits out the windows, finally escapes the relentless onslaught.

They swarmed, gnawed, and overwhelmed. Napoleon, the man who feared no army, was driven to his knees by a sea of teeth and fur.

Napoleon and his men laugh at first - how cute, the bunnies are coming for cuddles, right? WRONG. These rabbits weren't looking for love; they were out for blood (or at least, buttons and boots).

Napoleon orders his Chief of Staff, Alexandre Berthier, to arrange the event.

Berthier, wanting to impress the Emperor, spares no expense.

He gathers… not dozens, not hundreds, but THOUSANDS of rabbits.

It's 1807, post-Treaties of Tilsit. Napoleon, at the peak of his power, decides to celebrate with what should have been a tame rabbit hunt. But oh boy, was he in for a surprise!
