I once again wrote about the anxiety of navigating life in Indian metropolis, filled with incivility and despair.

Reading a blog I wrote a year ago and itβs so obvious that I was going through grad school applications during that periodβitβs filled with American English spellings. I have come a long way since then. Stopped applying to grad schools abroad.

20.10.2025 09:23 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If liberalism makes an effort, the pendulum will swing back, but there cannot be any disingenuous expression to this effort. The same faux promises cannot be repeated.
20.10.2025 09:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0People will eventually get tired of this new system, which is amoral and abhorrent, a system in which people find glee in their neighboursβ pain. They will soon realise it is even more restrictive.
20.10.2025 09:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This malfeasance of the elite disillusioned the massesβand it gave rise to a counterculture, which isnβt exactly conservatism in the traditional sense, though it borrows a lot from it.
20.10.2025 09:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Liberalism promised messages and ideas that it couldnβt deliver because liberal elites wanted the status quo to remain.

20.10.2025 01:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Finding it difficult to watch tv or films these days. Iβm looking to pick up some books, probably, at least one fiction and one non-fiction. In fiction, im thinking Katabasis. For non fiction, I havenβt zeroed down a book but thematically, Iβm thinking Churchill. Recommendations are welcome.
19.10.2025 15:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I agree. I wish South Asian twitter would move here; we could at least use some entertainment.

I reviewed the book 'If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies.' The central theme of the book tries to project that it is architecture agnostic while relying on an architecture-specific scenario. Though I largely empathise with the message.

Not sure if I should continue posting here. Really feel lost without the OSINT communityβwhich is mostly seems to be thriving on LinkedIn.

Iβve got some time to myself, so Iβm trying to figure out if this mountain is part of the Everest range. The river below is the Mahananda River, and the view is toward the north.
Not downloading the flight KML; I can't pay for another subscription.
One of the weirdest ritual that the urban middle class Indians have developed over the last decade or so is the practice of celebrating their birthdays at an orphanage. Yes, itβs a legit thing people do, where they go and cut a cake at an orphanage surrounded by orphan kids.
11.10.2025 09:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In Singapore for the next couple of days; Iβm scheduled to speak at a conf. While Iβm here Iβm also looking to meet fellow journalists, policy wonks/AI policy researchers. Happy to have a chat over coffee :)
27.09.2025 14:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Indiaβs state capacity is so low that it sort of parallels the British Raj, i.e., merely hundreds or thousands of officers ruling an entire subcontinent. The Raj had limited numbers likely due to technological constraints at that time. Our constraints today are purely artificial.
