I decided not to play my trustworthy forge, because I believed that the field would be too prepared after EW !

I skipped yesterday super qualifier and spent most of my day hiking, I felt fresh and sharp for todays tournament 😎

(Stream sniping is obviously a very bad form of cheating and it makes streaming mtg a lot worse. So please call out people who actually do. But also don't throw this kind of accusation without taking the time to think about it 🫡)

I really like watching my games against streamers, it's always a good learning experience!

But chatters really need to chill with the stream sniping accusations. Being called a cheater because you took the correct line is really not a something I appreciate. It's one of my biggest mtg pet peeve 😅

The metagame is shifting fast after the first US RC. Storm has a pretty solid matchup spread against the top decks but really suffers from being inconsistent

The bauble tech is serviceable, although I'm not sure about the numbers!

I used to be afraid of playing Phoenix because the decision tree can be so overwhelming ! I never brought the deck to any serious paper event.

To win an event with the deck despite the complete lack of reps is the confidence boost I needed 🫡

I won the pioneer showcase with Izzet Phoenix 🐦🐦🐦🐦

I expected to go 0-1 drop, but my tournament went smoothly 🫡 Thanks to O_Danielakos for the clean decklist!

Dave misplaced his Vintage deck filled with cards like Black Lotus at a local restaurant. Brian, an employee there, found the deck and somehow tracked Dave down at the EW and got him his deck back. What an amazing and touching story!

I'm focused on modern these days, so I just netdecked a very stock list.

This archetype has a very strong proactive gameplan and is really not easy to attack (I beat every null rods today).

Losses were to Doomsday and Mississipi River!

One month and a half before the european RC, I'm once again asking myself if it's too late to learn amulet titan 🐒

Any thoughts on the Weapons Manufacturing tech going forward ? I like the "only play the good payoffs" approach but I'm not sure what's the best enabler structure 🤔

I split the finals of the last important event of the season to lock 1st place 🫡

The tournament structure was Duel Commander + EoE draft:
- In DC: Thrasios control, a new build created by Jules Lestienne
- In draft: UW flyers with a double spell subtheme

My prize was a revised Underground Sea 🤑
