Extract of a script from Our Flag Means Death S2 E6. The page reads: STEDE: Well, we’re here now. (He looks at Blackbeard for a second, then extends his hand). We never finished our dance. Blackbeard looks at Stede’s hand, a little unsure as to whether or not he should take it. BLACKBEARD: There’s no music. STEDE: There isn’t? I always hear music when I’m around you. Gosh he’s charming. Blackbeard blushes and takes Stede’s hand. As they sway to the imaginary music Stede holds Blackbeard a little closer and gives him a kiss on the forehead. Blackbeard’s eyes brighten. We hear the first instrumental bars of Brice Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire.” The slow rolling percussions pounding like Blackbeard’s heart. He looks up at Stede and gives him a gentle kiss on the lips. As Blackbeard draws back to continue dancing, Stede pulls him for a longer, more passionate kiss. “Tell me now baby, is he good to you? /And can he do to you the things that I do? /Oh no /I can take you higher /Oh, oh, oh, I’m on fire” Blackbeard’s head is spinning. He has to sit on the corner of the bed to catch his breath. STEDE (continued): I’m sorr… was that too much? Before he can finish asking, Blackbeard grabs him by the shirt. He pulls Stede down onto him until they’re both lying on the bed. He looks up at Stede. BLACKBEARD (whispers): Again. “At night, I wake up with the sheets soakin’ wet. /And a freight train runnin’ through the middle of my head /Only you can cool my desire. /Oh, oh, oh, I’m on fire” Stede smiles. He takes Blackbeard’s face in his hands, taking in the beauty of his features. He gently draws the lines of Blackbeard’s lips with his fingertips. Then he kisses him deeply, pressing his body down into Blackbeard’s as the sounds of the party echo into the room. “Oh, oh, oh, I’m on fire / Oh, oh, oh, I’m on fire / Ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh” EXT. THE REVENGE, DECK - NIGHT Fireworks explode in the sky as the crew of the Revenge continue their celebration into the night.
