I think about this all the time.

It’s a buck. You paid for the first word in that article. You spend that much on coffee. i live in Oregon. I have subscriptions in Phila, Boston, Miami and SF. And magazines. It’s not much money. And I get to feel a little better about the fourth estate.

You know what else you can do? Pay the damn “$1 for six months”thing. Give one of the few surviving newspapers a buck. Read an article. Read another. Sometime in the six months cancel. Or,don’t. This is how we stop the end of independent journalism. This is one way we fight fascism.
