Agreed, there are a lot of things I like about bsky from a "big picture" standpoint, and support idealogically, I just can't seem to enjoy the way it plays out in reality.

I honestly feel like many "social" medias should find something else to call themselves, because they really don't tend to encourage being social LMAO.

Again both, it just seems to be a platform that (for better or worse) really supports the "if I don't like it, I don't have to engage with it" mentality instead of "let's have a civil and productive discourse about why we see things differently"

I was looking for something more like the "wild west" of social media with interactions, but the longer I've stayed around the more it seems like people are more interested in posting than having actual dialogs.

I was expecting something (a lot) less insular than discords tend to be, but it seems like the only way to actually ejoy using bsky is to curate a small group of people with similar interests, which is basically a discord server...

I think it's time for me to leave bsky.
It really just doesn't feel like my kinda place or what I was looking for when I signed up.
