partly because of all the stoke stuff, partly because their manager's a transphobe, partly because they have the loudest online fanbase in the country, partly because they're objectively the...fourth biggest club in britain, partly because it would be really funny.

i'd love to hear nicky's opinion on tijjani reijnders. i always give player a year to settle at city, but i can't work him out at all. he's popped up with a few goals, but been largely poor since his debut and doesn't seem at home as a ten, an eight or deeper. wrong club maybe?

biopic of the boxer prince naseem hamed. didn't hate it. brosnan somehow really good as brendan ingle. really liked the ending. wasn't sure about the casting of the actor who played the adult hamed, but the lad who played him as a kid was brilliant. fight scenes abysmal, as per. 7/10.

the way to go is definitely pressuring supporters organisations. i wouldn't be surprised if sponsorship contracts for both clubs and players have social media related clauses nowadays. they're not going to walk away under their own steam, but they absolutely should.

have you tried using nitter? one of the things i struggled with for ages was not being able to get real-time updates on interest-related stuff and certain types of news, but there are ways around it.

canadian thriller. maika monroe as a drug dealer on the run. not well received, and has some major flaws, but some of the techniques used are really interesting, like the infrared chase, or a tense scene where two characters use an outdoor sensor to communicate via signing. 7/10.

never heard an autechre record in my life, but even without the knowledge and context of the original versions of these songs this is still a fine record...

truly vile. there can be no excuse for still having an account. the amount of people i know of otherwise good politics who for some reason think they can't make the break is quite frankly fucking insane.

most i've enjoyed a game in a few weeks, probably since we won there in the league cup. nunes more than made up for his rare poor game midweek. savinho's best performance by far since joining. both centre-halves and gonzalez commanding. doku and marmoush finished very strong. let's pump madrid.

absolutely chuffed with that. thought we'd go out, and moreso after the first twenty minutes, but every single player who started was excellent, even those who began slowly really grew into it. savinho, nunes, khusanov, gonzalez especially good. great to see stones play ninety minutes. great stuff.

the same people who bemoan a weakened team would bemoan a big injury or fatigue in more important upcoming games. there's very little wriggle room for changes when you're playing real madrid twice, arsenal twice and chelsea away more or less on the spin. season could be over in a fortnight.

a salford city/prestwich heys double header very possible today, roughly two miles between the grounds somehow, feels like they should be much further apart. never comfortable giving gary neville twenty quid, though.

one of the great political songs. nobody's ever getting close to the original, but it feels spiritually right that these boys would cover it...

the headline makes out that it would've been some sort of hastily arranged meeting specific to one side scoring a few corners. in reality it would've been a very brief, quite boring chat amongst dozens of other things that may or may not impact revenues. a piece designed to get reactions, i'd say.

road had a really good side around those years. could probably still name most of the squad - hall, jay, cheetham, moran, gresty, mason, mini mason, brocklehurst, chappell, struminsky, breslin, rothel, mack, bailey. few of them have played for west since.

So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and theyβre simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was βyour piano is too close to the fireplace, youβll dry it outβ and if thatβs not the internet in a nutshell I donβt know what is.

surely the answer to this is that the top brass of the uae did when they signed up to trump's shameless 'board of peace' whilst laughing and joking just weeks ago? let's not pretend that trump, mansour and al mubarak aren't cheeks of the same arse. they're all in it together. scumbags.

i think there's an argument they'd be the biggest club to be relegated since united in '74. it's so weird to me choosing to go through this sort of ongoing football grief in public. have a bit of self-respect and sit in the shed smoking a dooby and crying it out, man.

they definitely look tired, and the manager's left as well. suspect you're right and the padiham and ramsbottom games might prove too much, but you never know. would be weird, and a little sad in a way, if both chorlton clubs exited the counties leagues in the same season.

strange one at west didsbury and chorlton last night. second best against a side from a league below, but scored a late equaliser and won on pens thanks to loanee goalkeeper dougie blight. some season-defining league games upcoming. feels a bit...in flux at the minute.
