A USPS mailbox in New York City
USPS quietly changed its postmark rules — mail is no longer dated when you drop it off. The “official” date is when it hits automated sorting — sometimes days later
Which could have major implications for mail in voting — it’s a clever way to disenfranchise voters that’s going largely overlooked
Chicagoland going for MVP:
“This is beyond anyone’s wildest imagination in the best possible way,” Khan said. “It’s overwhelmingly amazing, and we just want to make sure we get food to people who need it the most.”

When I was 9, I started experiencing suicidal ideation … disinterested in living, and at least some of the time contemplating death and how it might happen … It’s easy to imagine how I would have used programs like these chatbots.

When you vote early your names comes off GOTV rolls for the campaigns allowing them to move on to lower propensity voters, which increases D turnout and makes it more likely we win. Voting early = another way to help us win.

The Illinois Department of Public Health issued an order allowing almost anyone in the state to get the updated COVID-19 vaccine. The state’s protocols are in sharp contrast to the federal guidance issued last week, which declined to recommend the vaccine.

The most expensive universities have plenty of fuck you money but apparently they don't want to spend it even to save themselves. Pretty soon a degree from Columbia won't be worth any more than one from Trump University.
This was a NYT OpEd last week about Columbia caving to Trump. (gift link)
