Ein einziges Desaster Christian Milankovic Die spätere Eröffnung von Stuttgart 21 entlarvt Illusionen der Planung. Reisende müssen länger mit Provisorien leben. Man weiß nicht, worüber man verärgerter sein soll: dass Stuttgart21 erst in mehr als drei Jahren in Teilen in Betrieb gehen wird und damit alle Beschwernisse, die derzeit mit dem Bahnreisen in Stuttgart einhergehen, noch lange Zeit Begleiterscheinungen einer Zugfahrt sein werden? Oder dass die Bahn sich ein halbes Jahr Zeit gönnt, um die Karten auf den Tisch zu legen und damit wenigstens ein bisschen Orientierung bietet? Oder dass nun offensichtlich ist, dass die noch im Sommer 2025 zur Schau gestellte Zuversicht, im Dezember 2026 einen Teil des Bahnhofs eröffnen zu können, wohl mehr Wunschdenken als belastbare Planung gewesen ist. Egal welcher Option man zuneigt: unterm Strich bleibt Ernüchterung über das Baustellendebakel und den Umgang der Bahn damit. Sollte der Wechsel an der Spitze der Projektgesellschaft als Zeichen der Handlungsfähigkeit gedacht gewesen sein, so ist dieses Kalkül mit einem Schlag zunichte gemacht worden. In der Patsche sitzen die Bahnreisenden, die die vollkommen indiskutablen Zustände rund um den Bahnhof weiter erdulden müssen ebenso wie jene, die sich ein Ende der Ewigkeitsbaustelle wünschen, die keine Zier der Innenstadt ist. Und nicht zuletzt die Stadtpolitik selbst. Die möchte Anschlussprojekte wie die Verkehrsberuhigung rund um den Bahnhof, die Sanierung der Klett-Passage oder das Rosensteinviertel angehen, ist aber zum Nichtstun verdammt, bis die Bahn zurande kommt. Es ist ein Desaster. (StZ 28.2.26)
Wenn selbst C. Milankovic (jahrzehntelanger ProjektPusher) "verärgert", "ernüchtert" über "vollkommen indiskutable" Zustände bei #S21 ist ...
(und bedauert die Stadt Stuttgart, die allerdings damals das Projekt der unwilligen Bahn aufs Auge gedrückt hat)
