Now, this isn't a tale with a happy ever after note
It's a reminder not to let bullies gaslight you into a mote.
Of despair and unhappiness just because
They are unhappy or angry with no just cause

Their opinion and voices soon became rife with bile
The confidence she grew was around into the tile
Until some others came to her place
They picked her and dressed her in silk and lace
Told her not to listen to the lies
They lifted her up to a place up high

Those around her seemed so grand
They built themselves up as the best in the land
They pretended to love and care for a time
As she grew stronger, they resented her place in the lime

There once was a girl quiet and shy
She stumbled through life, falling for the lie
That she wasn't enough of this or that
That she was too thin, but one day would be fat
