Today I spent my lunch hour talking with students and facilities workers about our fight for basic dignity for art faculty at Tufts, and it was so refreshing to be around people who get it immediately.

Fact: Tufts students are smart! Tufts administrators should be too.

We continue to live in hell.

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.

I go to bargaining tables & bosses make responses to financial proposals & it's not enough but at least there's an attempt at negotiating & then I go to the Tufts Professors of the Practice bargaining table & the boss..does not respond at all.

Once a university lawyer told me, somewhat more politely & in more words, "it's nice that union members showed up to court for Rümeysa but y'all don't understand how these legal processes actually work."

& I just feel so sad for this lawyer, that she's never experienced solidarity & what it can do.
