Hillsborough Law will 'criminalise lying' by senior ministers, say campaigners
It's via a new standalone offence - which will apply to the prime minister - of "misleading the public", punishable by up to two years in jail.
Weβve all had enough of politicians lying to us, right?
Reckon on that we can all agree
Which is why Iβm absolutely buzzing for this legislation that would criminalise lying in politics
β¦βpunishable by up to two years in jail!β

New: Boris Johnsonβs βBrexit Titanic successβ was half right
Nearly ten years on, the first full assessment of Brexit confirms what millions warned: Britain made itself poorer
Rachel Reeves says thereβs a βholeβ in the public finances. A new decade-long Brexit study explains it: a 6β8% hit to GDP means less tax, less investment and less money for everything else. The bill has finally arrived.

The Tories can shout at me all they like, but the truth is their Brexit deal it is hurting our country and Labour wonβt do anything about it.
Today I urged the Prime Minister to actually fix it.

Starmer and Reeves are expected to argue that if it hadnβt been for Brexit, the economy would be about Β£120bn bigger by 2035 than current forecasts suggest it will be.
So, hopefully, we are about to see some honesty about the damage Brexit has inflicted.

We all know why Nigel Farage is accusing Labour of inciting violence against him while cutting his security. Because if he didnβt, people might remember to ask him who paid for his house in Clacton and why he hangs around with people who take bribes from Russians.

The Intelligence & Security Committee's Stewart Hosie said the Toy government didn't investigate alleged Russian interference in the Brexit vote, and no one wanted to touch this "with a ten-foot pole".

Here I am in 2020 in the flimsiest, most pitful PPE - like so many other NHS staff, some of whom died from the Covid they caught in their hospitals.

The edict should go out from Starmer to every Labour MP to always refer to the small boats carrying asylum seekers as "Farage Boats" and, if challenged, explain that we're only seeing so many now because of Brexit.
He made that point in one GB News interview, but it needs to be made infinite times.
