@mrjamesob.bsky.social Sorry James but with much respect, the internet has been around a lot longer than twenty years. I was on compuserve in the eighties with chat rooms and newspapers. It wasn’t as easy as today, but it was there.

Anyway, thanks for responding, always enjoy your opinions when you appear on my TV.

The design of the line and the costs involved, are a direct result of choosing speed over capacity. It would also been easier to sell if those impacted were able to access the line. Unless it has changed, people in Milton Keynes were losing trains to enable freight.

I see this suggestion about capacity rather than speed all the time. Having been directly impacted by several of the proposed routes through the chilterns, they were all arrow straight as possible, with no stops, for speed. If you want capacity, you need double decker trains with plenty of stops.

And so Bluesky begins its transformation into a kind of Sub X. No compassion for women genuinely impacted by the change in retirement date, just a bunch of β€œthey should have known better, I am smarter than them” comments. This lack of humanity makes me sick, not sure it’s worth staying. #Waspi

The festive period can be a tough time for many people, for many different reasons. If you can help support organisations supporting others please do, and, if you need support, hopefully some of the organisations below can help.
This is far from comprehensive so please do add more at the end. πŸ‘‡

Beautiful up in Wendover Woods today, lucky to have this place in my doorstep.

I made the mistake of listening to Miraj on LBC today, just about to switch over, when an amazing caller called Louise gave a fantastic account of why the ICC should not be disbanded, nor should it. It's only a matter of time before Farage starts bumping his gums, calling for the UK to leave the ICC

Gosh, so many people to follow. Definitely feels like something is happening now. Just need my local services to join and I can leave that other place. Happy days.

Standard visit to opticians reveals something unusual so referral made. Today I visited Stoke Mandeville hospital for checks. A more diverse group of individuals it would be hard to imagine, looked after me superbly. Thanks to all of them for all they do to look after all of us. Thank you #NHS

Having lived a charmed life to this point, I have had very little cause to personally trouble the NHS. This year, however, everything seems to be causing issues but so far the NHS has been simply outstanding. What a wonderful resource we have, it must be protected at all cost.
