Hello everyone! Another yearly recap from me.

I, feel bad about this year. I don't know how true that is but I haven't felt like I've improved much. For that reason my first goal in 2026 seems to be getting better at drawing backgrounds.

Other than that, I don't know what to say. Happy new year.

I'm just using the black case that I got with my OP 13r, luckily it still looks the same 😀

From next part I wanna do it slower, I want to get that blurry look that other pixel artists incorporate in their drawings with anti aliasing + clustering (however it just isnt intuitive to me yet)

About the face study thing, I went with that because it seemed the most approachable thing for me to do as a beginner, I decided to draw 99 heads ( 9 characters), idk if I'll get better after this but I'd have atleast developed discipline which I've been lacking (2/2)

Do you mean "just draw" quote? Well it means draw what you want without worrying about fundamentals, you can learn fundamentals along the way when you need the way, looking at your art though I think youre already doing this :), (1/2)

And I drew the sketches in krita first(while having the relevant manga panels beside for reference), 640x640 resolution with 10px brush size, then I added it as a reference layer on a 64x64 canvas in aseprite and traced over it, it's more comfortable this way than doing all the lineart with mouse XD

Just noticed that I forgot to paint the background as blue at one place for last row first one 😭

I logged out of twitter already and intend to stay here, there's just something different about this site, it feels cozy to me
