Orzal Dax

We have started packing for our trip to Trill and the ruined ancient city of Furrez.

The runabout is picking us up tomorrow afternoon. I don't think I've been on a trip like this since the many away missions I did when I was Captain Ezri Dax.

At least this time I'm not in charge of the group.

I know there's no reason for me to grow cherry tomatoes as I could just replicate them, but it's the challenge with the rewards of them being real and fresh.

It could also be seen as a horticulture experiment through using native soil and a Trill variety of tomato. I like a challenge.

I do have a sweet tooth, but not as much as Ranih does. She loves nearly any type of cake. I tell her that is sweet enough already. Yeah yeah, I know.

One of the things I love to eat, like sweets, are red or yellow cherry tomatoes. I might grow some next year. I have space for a greenhouse.

Having another good weekend. Spent the day with a friend of my fiancée. She has lived on the Colony much longer than either of us. She also has a dog called Buddy who is just crazy. He's loveable but just way too energetic. We spent time in the park. Thankfully the weather was good.

Whilst looking through some Klingon files, as we are expecting a Klingon transport soon, I found this picture.

It brought to the forefront a realisation of the stark contrast between when I was Jadzia and where I am now.

But that's the whole point. Each host's life should be different.

I have been studying the details of the ruined ancient city of Furrez and the site is considerably larger than I thought. The whole site is roughly 27.48 km² with the majority of the most intact ruins in the centre. Our trip will be focused on the centre. Jadzia would have loved this.

So, next week me & Ranih will be heading for Trill so we can spend 7 days exploring the ruins of the ancient city of Furrez. It's a guided tour with a team of four archaeologists. We will have a fully equipped Tulha class runabout where we will be living, during the trip.

This will be exciting.

There is an odd drawback to being on the Orbital Station and that's the birdseye view of weather patterns as they approach the colony, and knowing full well it will be absolutely chucking it down just as you get home, thus cancelling any outdoor plans.

Space.

Another very busy work day at our orbital station. Unfortunately my view today was not as enjoyable as the previous week. I would have to look at star charts to work out what was in my view.

It's the time of year now, when the weather is predominantly wet, windy & cold. Best wrap up warm.

Sometimes I find myself doing odd things when I'm sat at a table with a coffee, pondering things. Today I made this from a piece of paper out of my notebook.

A short shuttle ride from the colony gets you to the coast for a beautiful view & fresh sea air.

A specialist science team is researching the oceans & the life therein. I would be interested in reading their findings so far. That's the Jadzia curiosity shining through.

In the 25th Century, there are various methods to help with a hangover, but none of them actually work like you want them to. I'm lucky I am not at work today.

I had fun last night, which is what matters. Be with your family and friends as much as you can, whilst you can. It's important.

I'm blaming you, Curzon, for this. I was invited to a friend's place tonight & I've only been here, what, 2 hours, and I'm absolutely wasted. My friend, Jack, is a bit of a rogue to be honest but Curzon was well known for his exploits in bars so is it any wonder I'm now sat on the floor, drunk.
