My studio partner had a small contribution to this piece. He puts brushstrokes on my work quite a bit, but this time, his part stayed mostly untouched.

Eight more days to see my art at East Lansing Public Library. Taking the place of "Morning Trumpets," "Snowdrops" is now on display. The snowdrops in my yard are in full bloom right now. Happy Spring!

Yesterday, I delivered a memorial portrait of Ms. Mona. She was stunning and full of opinions. Her dad, who passed away years before her, was undoubtedly there to welcome her. The reflection in the reference photo, I imagined, must have been her dad. What an honor to create such a special portrait.

The reclaimed barn wood has returned to its origins in Mason. "Redwing Blackbird," framed in recycled barnwood from Michigan Barnwood and Salvage, is now available at Bestsellers Books and Coffee Co. with art from the Mid-Michigan Art Guild.
Artists' reception: Saturday, March 15th, from 1-3pm!
About a decade ago, my boyfriend gifted me a drawing tablet, likely to save our glasses from being used as paint containers! This sparked my journey into creating digital pet portraits. Earlier this year, I was commissioned for another piece. I'll unveil the latest one later this week.

The roundest of robins- large circle with small eyes and a beak on the top third, semicircle "wing" on each side. Tiny feet are at the bottom. The bird is encompassed by a thick brown line which is the nest. Four blue blobs with dots sit around the robin- 4 little eggs.
I can't get enough of these birbs. 🐦 (Lincoln - 5 years old)

Seven years ago, I was miserable enough to attempt to live life without alcohol for an hour, 2 hours, 12 hours, then a day.
Two years ago, I painted this portrait for myself, a reminder of the greatest gift as a result of a new life. I'm most thankful for these everyday moments. ❤️
