I am in AL as a social safety net that is under a growing threat. Between Gov MeeMaw, Sens Tubesock and Brittle, and Rep StronglyWrong... I wonder if I will ever be able to leave. There are pockets of smart, caring people amongst many more of the proudly ignorant. Finding it hard to hope here.

I left Alabama, happily, 33 yrs ago. I left thinking that if I didn't, I would never leave. Returned 3 yrs ago to be a caregiver for my parents. I am here for the right reasons and the knee-jerk retort of "well, you can just leave" makes me enraged.

My dog and I took a walk around the block this morning and we saw THREE bunnies.

#MeAndTheBpy tried a new thing this morning - a leashed walk. It was muggy and it was not a long one (maybe a quarter mile). I think he liked it. Lots of sniffs and updating of trees. mailbox posts and light posts. AND, THREE BUNNIES.

#PupTartTrio walks never really happened. This did.
