I opened the oven to swap sheets mid bake and got quite a nose full of ammonia. It's the same thing they use in smelling salts. 😯

I made these Swedish Drömmar cookies that use Baker's Ammonia to leaven. Makes the cookies super crisp and airy.

That's never a fun experience. Hope it isn't a massive repair.

Very close to Christmas dinner at my mom's, without the first courses. Dessert was either my cheesecake or her English Christmas cake - fruitcake basted 2 months with rum, then covered with a layer of marzipan and then iced. You ate a sliver, it was very rich.

Great evening at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix attending the Las Noches de las Luminarias. Always a wonderful experience.

My color and design class (circa 2001) used MDF. It was very dark brown and dense. I paint over the pieces I didn't like as I can't find that good board anywhere.
