The Met Office has officially named Storm Γowyn, which is projected to impact much of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly starting Friday and continuing into Saturday. Residents can expect strong winds, with wind gusts reaching between 40 and 90+ mph in certain areas.

An update on the current status of Storm Darragh. As indicated by the latest satellite imagery, Darragh is now positioned just off the western coast of Ireland. We are beginning to observe an increase in wind speeds, which are expected to gradually intensify as the storm approaches the UK.
Here is the latest radar image; as you can see by the latest image, a few isolated showers are creeping through Cornwall this morning; some of these showers could be on the heavy side and have hail mixed in at times.
