I got to play as Breath of Darkness Down Your Spine in SPIRIT ISLAND, my first 6-person playthrough!

My cool friend & former grad-student Alexandra Palocz made an awesome interactive theater piece for 1 played completely in the dark with a wooden-block-puzzle-based interface to further the story.

I played it at Cell Theater in Manhattan and it was excellent!

This may seem reasonable and it's a thing I struggled with when I was an op-ed editor, so I have thoughts. +

Pleased to have a little essay in this book, looking at a very specific element of TTRPG design that can (and should) be studied by videogame designers!
