Picked up Dark City from the Arrow sale, rewatching tonight. Rinsed this a bunch on vhs and dvd but I've seen it only once in twenty years, pretty excited to catch this new restoration

Are we sort of the same person? As soon as I heard this was being reissued as a UHD I insta bought it. Watched the director's cut a few weeks ago. This movie went out of my consciousness for so long and then bam! Back it was. I don't quite know why or how I let it go for so long. It's genius.

Now this definitely IS an underrated album. Both this and the vinyl-only companion double LP, in fact. This needs a reissue so badly, precisely because of its current scarcity.

It’s frustrating too, because the reason for it is listening to it so much at the time because of how much I adored it. It’s this and… oddly… Artificial Intelligence Volume II that I have the biggest blocks with. Still, at least there’s Pentamerous Metamorphosis. 😁

Has pretty much always been one of my favourite ambient albums of all time. But I struggle to listen to it anymore because the nostalgia triggers depression. 😕

Elseq 4 and NTS Sessions 1 in particular for me are the gold-tier sets from this period. But the sets in total are such behemoths is sometimes hard to pick. I do wish Elseq 1-5 had been given a physical release though.

I love Incunabula sooooo much. I still don’t understand why many hardcode Ae fans hate on it. But then… I’m old enough to have bought the album when it first came out 🤣

Oh, and I didn’t know what to expect from “The People Matter” given that it’s almost nineteen minutes long. Turns out it’s one of my favourite things: a masterclass in the art of the slow build ❤️

I still haven’t pulled the trigger on the latest 2022- sets. It’s £50 for the lossless but you get a whopping 20+ hours of music. It’s that monolithic amount that scares me. I have all the previous ones and have yet to barely scratch the surface. It’s intimidating 🤣

Ah Orbus Terrarum. For years and years after its release I didn't listen to it because I thought it was "too weird". I kind of just dismissed it. Then those 2CD reissues came out, I bought it and fell in love with it. It's easily my second favourite Orb release now.
