Elseq 4 and NTS Sessions 1 in particular for me are the gold-tier sets from this period. But the sets in total are such behemoths is sometimes hard to pick. I do wish Elseq 1-5 had been given a physical release though.

I love Incunabula sooooo much. I still don’t understand why many hardcode Ae fans hate on it. But then… I’m old enough to have bought the album when it first came out 🤣

Oh, and I didn’t know what to expect from “The People Matter” given that it’s almost nineteen minutes long. Turns out it’s one of my favourite things: a masterclass in the art of the slow build ❤️

I still haven’t pulled the trigger on the latest 2022- sets. It’s £50 for the lossless but you get a whopping 20+ hours of music. It’s that monolithic amount that scares me. I have all the previous ones and have yet to barely scratch the surface. It’s intimidating 🤣

Ah Orbus Terrarum. For years and years after its release I didn't listen to it because I thought it was "too weird". I kind of just dismissed it. Then those 2CD reissues came out, I bought it and fell in love with it. It's easily my second favourite Orb release now.

Sorry, I should have emphasised I meant "in my opinion". I agree that Lapsus/Balmat have always been great at keeping a uniform look across their releases though. Probably one of the most effective in the business, honestly.

That artwork is so damn bad. As a person that used to browse actual record shops and be enticed by the vinyl artwork, this stuff still pre-disposes me to not even go near Balmat releases. And this is coming from someone who loves the Lapsus Perennial series more than almost any other label on earth.
