Added a classic FM synth to the sonic arsenal: Yamaha’s TX802 (‘87). It’s basically a juiced-up & racked DX7 MkII. Giant pain to program but so’s all FM synthesis; apps like Patch Base make it easy. This is killer for eighties pads, metallics & basses.

Picked this up to thicken the sound on the Ensoniq ESQ-1. I like the Dimension C because it doesn’t do that warmly, tremolo thing that other chorus pedals do. It only thickens things up. I forget the tech behind it, but it’s based on a vintage Boss pedal & old rack unit.
