β οΈ.NET Framework 3.5 is no longer an FOD starting with build 27965. You will have to download a standalone installer

07.10.2025 20:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Time to archive the VM. Don't want to lose a vm from 2018
06.10.2025 20:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think it might be time to retire my Windows XP VM and upgrade it to 7. The audio issues and some DirectX stuff crashing the VM is getting too much

Wait, so it's not my keyboard that is dying? It's an issue with the latest canary builds where my keyboard stops working until I unplug and replug?
18.09.2025 21:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Fun fact. By setting ProgressUXType to 0 in C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\sources\SetupPlatform.ini right before the second stage of setup begins. You can get back the early Win10 era setup screen.
This still works as of build 27943
Just had my first Android crash

01.09.2025 21:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is going to go VERY well, isn't it?
30.08.2025 21:11 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Here is the error when attempting to reset your PC on build 27934 (Blog mentions this as a known issue)
Resetting will get to ~29% before undoing changes
Of course if you go from stable releases then:
NT 3.1 (1993) > Vista (2006) - 13 years
Vista > Today - 19 years
Then there's ESD, which has been around for ~13 years but we're still using WIM
Installing windows via the i386 folder didn't last that long all things considered.
WinNT 3.1 used it (First seen in 1991 builds)
and Longhorn Build 4001 used WIM (December 2002)
So the WIM format in one form has been around for 23 years. Whereas i386 was around for 11 years
Sorry for forgetting to post over here :(
