- due to the government shutdown, our SNAP benefits have been paused so we're scraping by for food, we have rice and sodium heavy knorrs bagged pasta/rice dishes (which arent good for my kidneys) but it's what we have

- we have no one here to provide us housing, and the car we could've used for shelter is being impounded due to minervas mother stopping payment and insurance, not to mention it's sitting on a flat we cannot afford to fix or replace.

- we have NO SAVINGS as money went towards food for us and her cat, I've been severely neglecting my needs to pinch pennies but it's just snowballed into a nightmare situation

UPDATE: Things got worse

- partner was fired for "misuse of company time" when all she was doing was eating for 30 mins so she can get back to her shift, she's putting in applications but we don't know if 3wks is enough time

I can work with budgets (in the form of payment plans) for commissions even at discounted or full prices

art is my ONLY form of income as I've been denied disability, have no GED/diploma, and cannot work

as much as I'd love to work to contribute my part, my body simply will not let me. I only make so much with selling art, too. I'm still waiting on my hEDs diagnosis and a therapist to help w my PTSD. (which has been rampant due to fear of being homeless again after a fire 2yrs ago)

we have 215 saved. minerva gets paid weekly at her job, a chunk of that gets used for laundry since there's no in-unit hook ups, cat food, and food when our benefits are depleted.

my partner and I moved to NE from TX to flee a very financially, medically, and emotionally abusive household back in August. we're now being rushed out in 4wks.

we've been trying our hardest to make funds to get into our own place since getting here, but needs have been eating our funds.
