I have learned a great deal on here from those I follow and from conversations with my followers. I have never learned a single thing from a random stranger's reply or scoldy quote post. That's not to say I never will; it's just never happened yet, and that's a fact.

I will not listen/watch him speak. It triggers my anxiety and provides nothing positive. If he is on (other family member wants to watch), I leave the room. I rely on sources that I have learned are (basically) trustworthy to summarize and critique. I lean heavily on Snopes.com for fact checking.

Some of you may remember my asking around about different searches trying to find one that infuriates me less than Google - found one that not only doesn't annoy me but gives me good feelings.

I couldn't find one that doesn't use AI, but ECOSIA is actively trying to solve AI's environmental issues.

I'm lucky to have Matt to help me out; that makes the process go twice as fast - but it's important for me not to RELY on anyone other than me to get out of the hole, because no matter how well-meaning, other people are outside my control. My happiness can't be contingent on *anything* or anyone.

A number of years ago, when my FIL was institutionalized for dementia (in his 90's), we reached out to his old pastor who went over and (with the help of the staff) videoed him playing Amazing Grace on his tenor sax. I pull it out to watch every year or so on the anniv. of his passing.

Weeellll, it finally happened. My MacBook that has been limping along for the last 2 years, appears to have finally given up the ghost. Good news is that I have full backups (Time Machine and CC). Bad news is MINIMUM investment to replace is $1,600.
