But I'll try and do the same as you, end on a more positive note. I deeply believe you are trying to do the best thing possible for PHP, as I said really appreciate all the work AFUP is doing, and hope to attend some of its great events in the future. Thank you for your part in PHP!

Regarding replying publicly on bluesky: I think the entire PHP dev community needs to hear about the problems with "PHP is not dead" messaging, so I chose to reply publicly to your public post in the hope that others may see it and change their mind before posting another "PHP is not dead" blog post

AFUP is doing amazing things and does a great job supporting PHP, it has many great tshirts and mugs, I appreciate the huge amount of work that's been put into it. To me, that is, why it's especially sad to see an organization like AFUP spread messaging around PHP's supposed death or lack thereof.

I'm not singling out AFUP here, I was mentioned specifically cause I've been asking tons of people, mostly on LinkedIn to stop posting blog posts titled PHP is not dead or similar. It's like some weird inferiority complex of PHP developers that feel they need to defend their language it seems.

Cause it keeps conversations focused on some silly question of whether PHP is dead or not, even though nobody said it was.

You get decision makers that aren't programmers decline project proposals or move entire companies to other langs cause they heard PHP may be dying.

@afup.org Please! Remove that "PHP is not dead" tshirt and any reference to it. You are having a net negative impact on PHP with this messaging. Please read liamhammett.com/think-of-an-... and if you want to say anything positive about PHP stop talking about PHP not being dead.

Yeah that's what I'm using right now, but didn't realize they offer app tracking too, maybe that can be useful somehow. Will see if that's an option on Linux.

What's a time tracking process that works for you? I regularly for get to end or switch what I'm tracking, despite it being pretty easy and on web as well as my phone. What tools do you prefer and how did you fix this problem? Are there analogue devices that help keep this present at all times?
