clinicians who desperately want to help but are stuck - with no service or support to turn to, while i try to offer info and advice when/where i can…we need a rapid national response

trans ppl are openly ignored in the HIV response in the UK, we are pushed aside over and over again. sort it out

the thing i’ve noticed most as a trans person living with HIV working in HIV is that there are no services bc funders say “there’s no need” or “there aren’t enough trans people” when at the same time i’m frequently taking q’s from clinicians unsure of how to support trans patients who are struggling

my shitty ex stepdad spends all his time going on about how my siblings will be indoctrinated into the “transgender ways” mans was worried about the wrong thing i’ve got his kid absolutely hooked onto doctor who

friend hooked up with some guy she’d been speaking w/ and told him about her hiv and he goes “it’s okay god gave you big tits to make up for the hiv” and i’m just amazed

absolutely w/ the need to have influence in government - but it should never ever come at the cost of abandoning a community so urgently in need of allies who will speak up, of which they could defo do but seem to magically forget to 😬😬
