Every time we're near the end of an era I ask "what more can they do?", and it's always something unexpected.

End of G, I was hoping for Union Verse to be added, got Gift Markers.

End of V, thought they've make original units and a Type 3 gift, got Standard.

Also dreading Premium getting axed for another game like Hololive and/or Godzilla. Not to say that they don't deserve tournament support, we just know how thin Bushi can get before bad things happen again.

Just my thought.

While I'm very excited that my work schedule will now allow me to play at locals again, I can't help but feel a sense of dread when it comes to the future of the game. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but what is your current vibe with Vanguard lately?

3) I have a few ideas I wanna play around with as soon as I can, but I'll leave that for another day.

4) Both days have been very fun, just sad that a lot of friends weren't able to make it for one reason or another.

2) Grand Ezel is good, but most of the time I'm trying to rebuild my build with Blond's skill and push pressure with Raven's. Setting it up feel like its very luck based. The build needs a change in direction or maybe I need to not play Ezel premium for a while.

Takeaway(s):

1) The superior ride isn't worth it anymore. The speed of the deck means nothing if there isn't anything to show for it or back it up. The only time it worked was when I had Persona Ride in hand then went Raven.

So overall with a 3* -4 record, the deck needs a lot of work, but I need to better manage my time to practice and learn against these kinds of matchups.

R7: NLK/Brufus 🟢*

On paper this was a win, but in reality it was a loss. My opponent made misplays and I allowed them to take some plays back, but thankfully the guy was really chill and he understood that I helped him too much for the game.

This was a very close game, but I wasn't able to draw deep enough in my Deck to get my GB8 live. But I didn't Double Stride.

Despite playing the counter, Grand Ezel, I was unable to keep the pressure going.

I see why this is a top meta pick. It was very strong and I couldn't keep up.

I survived a Red OT turn and used Brambent Dragon to close the game.

G-Assist for Grade 2 and couldn't recover in time.

Day 2 has come and gone. This was a really fun event, I just wish I knew ahead of time that I could've changed my Deck list BEFORE registration ended. I wanted to make a few changes beforehand. Oh well.

Got to meet @CurlyHairedHero and @ZephyrZerrin in person. Amazing guys.

Overall, I can't be too upset with my record today. I made misplays and I got greedy. The lessons I've been able to learn today will help shape the my mindset going into the next event.

The new Soul-in fronts helps with Ezel's skill too, though I think I'll drop it from 3 to 2 in future versions.

At the end of the event I picked up 2 V&Ls to see if they would work better than Diorruing.

Battle Sister, Cocoa was the MVP during the event today. The extra soul, stacking the deck, and extra power, and extra shield did so amazingly. Just having enough soul to call something with Ezel's skill from the deck really helped.

Round 8 Youthberk, I misplayed on my Persona ride turn but not Persona riding when I had it. I played it off, but it didn't matter when my opponent was early healing and stopped all my attacks with a defensive OT. Still a fun game. FullBlast ate 2 PGs.

Round 7 Flamme G, I honestly got really greedy and got rightfully kicked.
