For the first time ever, I used the feature on the alarm of my phone that speaks the time when the alarm goes off. I did not expect a harsh female voice to practically shout "It's 7:20 AM!" with the tone of a mother who's losing her patience on her fifth attempt to get you out of bed. 💢

I brought one from my old apartment when I moved, and discovered that the landlord had left a ratty broom here after renovations. The ratty broom moved to the entry and is now on the stairs outside. Bought a replacement for my old broom, ended up keeping both.

I own three vacuum cleaners.

The first one was a cheap dustbuster-on-a-stick that I bought for my first apartment. Got a better one as a reward from my employer for working XX years; chose it from a catalog. Then got a wet/dry shop vacuum at some point, and can't remember why.

…but not when going to a store or visiting someone. I wear it mostly during cooler months, and it's even warm enough for the middle of winter; I'll wear it to shovel snow off my steps. It's more of a practical garment than a fashion choice.

I own a single gray zippered hoodie, waffle weave exterior (like thermal underwear fabric), fleece interior lining. Over a decade ago, I slipped and fell in a patch of mud while wearing it, and the stains never fully washed out, so I now only wear it to take out the trash or walk to the mailbox… 1/2

For anyone who's heard recent news, don't worry about me; I won't go hungry anytime soon. My hoarder tendencies and prepper mentality mean I've accumulated enough food in my pantry to last me a few months. 👍

Indoor thermometer, a bit dusty, showing 61% relative humidity with a low of 58% and a high of 64%, and a temperature of 64°F with a low of 61°F and a high of 64°F. It's early October, and I haven't yet turned on the heat for the apartment. Thermometer is clipped to a cardboard box. Container full of elbow macaroni is visible in the background.

My living room thermometer is so weird. It never shows temperatures of 62, 65, 67, 69, 71, 74 or 76°F, among others. I figured out that it's measuring the temperature in Celsius (as an integer) then converting to Fahrenheit. Bedroom thermometer, same brand, different model, doesn't have this issue.

Grocery delivery was satisfactory. All items arrived intact, and the produce looks fine. I guessed right that the bags would block my door. (My building has an outward-opening exterior door.) Shouldn't need another delivery for a couple of weeks, but this is better than taking the bus, I'm guessing.

Now that I'm not driving anymore, I thought this morning would be a good opportunity to test the only grocery delivery option in my city. I'll be curious to see what extra fees pop up, the condition of the produce, and whether the delivery blocks me from opening my apartment door. 😅 Will follow up.

I thought the sudden jump in main story difficulty seemed a bit harsh... 😅
