Came across someone's collection of crocheted Barbie dresses at the thrift store today. It made me sad think about how someone did all this work to create such an amazing collection, only for it to end up in a thrift store. I hope that someone that will appreciate it will buy it.

I did! I’m on team O so fast-ish team but not fastest. I my team filled up the day after I finished my socks so it was close.

Super delayed post, but still knitting. I’m currently competing in Sock Madness 19. These are the socks I’ve knit so far. Currently waiting for round 3 to end, so I can get started on round 4.

The stitch pattern for this 1940’s jumper is wild. It creates a double layer of fabric which will come in to use when the back and front panels are done.

Details: Gauge 8 stitches per inch, took just over 2700 yards of yarn, the skirt is knit bottom up, the top is knit top down (seamless) than they are seamed together, which is where the pleats are added for the skirt, the trim/buttonband is crochet, as well as the elastic casing in the waistband.

I’m officially done my most recent 1950’s knit dress. I will say it was a beast. I’ll add details in the comments, as well as more pictures.
I’m super happy with how this turned out, but will be taking a break from knitting a dress of this magnitude for a little bit.

1950’s dress update all the knitting is done. Now time to crochet all the trim/borders before attaching the top to the skirt.
