Recently learned how to make sourdough again (used to do this as a young teenager). So this morning, the house smells divine. Scent is so evocative and often overlooked. What smells are your "cozy-comfort-vacation" smells???

T'was a delightful weekend! First day of vacation today involved walking to the local library and then stopping in a cute used bookstore/gift shop to buy some fancy tea. Next 8 shall sit on my patio with a book and said tea and while away the afternoon. Sometimes it's the little things. 😎

I'm preaching about delight this week... working on opening up to the awe around us as an antidote to all the mayhem going on around us. Walking to the river is always a delight...so much beauty around if we slow down and look up!

Morning walk on Friday...beauty abounds! Charlie enjoyed our "perambulation". We have to speak in Victorian English otherwise he gets beyond excited 😆...as in, "would you like to partake in a perambulation this fine morning?" His answer would always be enthusiastically affirmative.
