I love how GRRM does a dualistic juxtaposition here. The tall and short, the able bodied and the disabled, one who looks like a king and someone who is considered grotesque, the lion and the monkey (I have a whole essay on Tyrion & monkey imagery).

it seems always like a kind of cope out. Like the "he doesnt owe the starks nothing" etc etc. Is just tiring bc the 95% is completely in bad faith and it makes me mad

i think a lot of ppl do it as a way to justifies theon's deeds in acok, saying the starks deserved it (mind you bran and rickon didnt even existed when everything happened) means also not need of redempion from his part which also means that his possible death in the next books wont happen
